Seven years ago today I married the most wonderful man in the world! I don't know what I would do without him and not a day goes by that I don't thank God for my amazing (and endlessly patient) husband!
Thanks to my amazing hubs taking today off work for our Anniversary I was able to catch up on my Vintage Holiday blocks while he spent the afternoon with the kiddos. :)
I think the snowball block with the Sherbet Pips in the middle is my favorite so far!
I am also working on a new sea animal quilt for my adorable son! I will be back with pictures soon! I better go help Sean in the kitchen, the kids are in bed and my hubby is making dinner for our anniversary tonight!
Things have been BUSY around here lately! We have been rushing around to make sure we are all ready to start school this week! Haircuts, back to school ice cream parties, clothes/school supply shopping, and so on.... Sadly, not much of my time has been spent sewing. I am managing to sneak in enough time to stay caught up with the Vintage Holiday Quilt Along!
My kindergartner starts school on Tuesday! He is very excited (and Mommy is a little nervous)! But hopefully there will be a little more sewing time around here soon! :)
Some of my all time favorite fabrics are in this quilt...Flea Market Fancy (everyone's favorite), Katie Jump Rope, Picnic and Fairgrounds and Pezzy Prints. I really do love them! And I love how well they work together!
I better get to basting and quilting! Have a great weekend!
The summer rolls on over here! It is now officially August and Back to School is so close I can taste it!!! Oh, and the kids are getting very excited too (although no one is as excited as Mommy)! :)
In the meantime I started a new quilt! My Sister, Christie, asked me to make a quilt for her 3 year old daughter Claire. All of the fabrics are from my Sister's glorious (and ever growing) stash!
Here are just a few of the blocks...we were trying to use the same colors as the last quilt I finished. My nieces share a room and while the quilts need to be different we did want them to coordinate well. We used lots of Flea Market Fancy, Picnic and Fairgrounds, Pezzy Prints and a bit of Katie Jump Rope. I love how well the colors blend together! I am using a tutorial by Allison at Cluck. Cluck. Sew. It is called Squares & Strips and it is adorable! I will be back soon with more pictures!
